Garlic Corn

My favorite corn recipe has always been garlic corn.  I love this stuff.  It's addicting.  And it's super simple to make.

You will need:
3 cans whole kernel corn
1 package cream cheese
2 cloves garlic
some garlic powder

Open and drain the cans of corn.  Place the corn in a 9 by 9 baking dish.  Mix in the minced garlic cloves with the corn.  Place the cream cheese on top and cut it up into small pieces stirring the pieces into the corn.  Sprinkle garlic powder over the top.  I like to sprinkle enough to lightly cover the top, but it's up to your taste.  Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.  I normally stir at about 15 minutes to mix the melted cream cheese in so that the corn doesn't dry out.

Beware this dish is addicting and you won't have leftovers.

The picture is of our lunch today.  It was very yummy!  Pork loin chops smother in mushroom soup, mashed potatoes with the mushroom soup off the pork chops as gravy, baked beans(I make my own) and the garlic corn.

  6. I really like corn but I've never been a fan of creamed corn. But this sounds somewhere in between - I have definitely never had anything like it! would like to try it though because I think my husband and daughter would really enjoy it.

  9. Yum! My mom has a very similar recipe that calls for diced green chilies and cheddar cheese, and it's always a hit, so I'll definitely make this!
