As we were cleaning for the holidays I thought I'd share one of my cleaning secrets.
LOC cleaning towelettes from Amway work wonders! The kids call them magic! Here are some pictures on how they removed crayon and marker from our hard wood floors. Oh and did I mention that they are gentle enough that the kids can use them without fear of harsh chemicals.

Amway website which is considered an affiliate link. I'd love it if you'd go browse around or even order, but don't feel compelled to!
***************A comment asked about stain removers for clothes. I responded there but thought I'd add it here as well. I will do a post on them later but busy with holidays and fence building now. Here is my reply with stain removing links.
I actually swear by Amway's prewash or stain remover. It gets grease, blood, grass, and pretty much any stain you can think of out. And with 8 kids I'm pretty much an expert on stains, plus my husband is always fixing his tractor. There are two. The first is a bit better and in an aerosol:
The second is for your lesser stains(doesn't work as well on grease but great for everything else).
Pin It Now!
What I need to figure out is how to get grease/oil (from engines) out of our clothing so it doesn't get in our washer and ruin our other clothing....

DeleteSo funny I should read this today because my daughter (19 months) found a box of crayons and decided to color the hard wood floor green. Very festive and all but think I'd like to remove it. Now I know how!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great product. My daughter is all the time coloring things that she shouldn't, lol.
ReplyDeleteWow! I'm always on the look out for good stain cleaners. I'll have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing. I know from personal experience that the clorox wipes don't clean as well as yours.
ReplyDeleteI wish I had known about this when my daughter decided that my yellow leather couch was a canvas for her marker art. bye bye couch

Great product! Excellent for households with kids. Now what I'd like is how to get pen marks off leather.
ReplyDeleteYou would want to test this on the backside or bottom first but this is a carpet and upholstery cleaner that might work! http://www.amway.com/SlocumSeanErin/Shop/Product/Product.aspx/FULTON-STREET-MARKET-Carpet-Upholstery-Cleaner-Shampoo?itemno=744583
DeleteI'm glad you have the link to the Amway site on this page- I've been thinking of getting some Amway products, heard they even have foodbars and vitamins!

They have wonderful vitamins. My only complaint is that they don't have prenatals. My husband and kids love theirs though. Here is the direct link: http://www.amway.com/SlocumSeanErin/Shop/Product/Category.aspx/Vitamins-Supplements
DeleteThis sounds to be a great product and I also like that there are no harsh chemicals. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks like it did a great job cleaning it up. I hate all the chemicals in everything these days. :\ I worry about them effecting my daughter. Would love to try this out!
ReplyDeleteWow. I think I need these to take black marks off the floor and ink of my desk. Thanks for sharing.
