Mei Tai by Mother and Bebe Review

I like babywearing.  I love how close it keeps baby and mommy.  You'll find less in the way of fussy babies and crying with this method. I'm used to using wraps to carry my two babies at the same time, one on front and one on the back.  But now, my youngest is getting very independent and doesn't want to be carried anymore.  She says "Me do self" so it's just Zyera and me.  A size 7 wrap was way too much for just her so I jumped at the chance of getting to review a Mei Tai by Mother and Bebe.  

These can be custom made to whatever fabric you want!  I chose an adorable print that will work for either girl or boy(we don't know what we're having yet with this one) and that I find appealing so I'll enjoy wearing it.  

It came in this adorable gift wrapping!  Think what a cute Christmas gift this would make to that special mommy in your life!

Look how small it wraps up to!  I love how portable this is. You can wrap it up and place it in the diaper bag without taking up too much room.  My wraps needed a bag of their own to go with us anywhere.

Time to unwrap and check it out!

Check out the cute little hood for them when they're sleeping or bad weather.  I typically wear Zyera on my back and she falls asleep from the gentle constant movement when I'm walking.  This is great to keep her head from lolling about.

Check out this cute print!  But wait we're hiding something here!

Tada a tiny pocket!  Great for keys or a toy or even a kleenex for those horrible runny noses that come with the season.

The hood again.  I'm in love!  Wraps don't have these!

See the structured part of the mei tai is the area that baby sits.  It still has the "wraps" in the straps that you tie around yourself.  Note also the snaps on the hood.  Those snap to the strap that goes over the shoulder to keep it in place while baby is sleeping.

The hood can be tucked down inside the body of the carrier when not in use(I have never done this though as I like having it out just in case we'll need it).  Also, the straps do have snaps on them and at the waist so if you don't double up the wrapping(or have a big prego belly to wrap around) you can snap those straps up and keep them from dragging when you're running around!  So ingenius and a great carrier!

Charlie's Soap Laundry Detergent and Stain Remover Review

Charlie's Soap started out in 1976 as a family owned and operated company who let word of mouth  bring them their customers.  Today, they are still doing the same thing.  Plus of course creating and bringing us their wonderful green ecofriendly products!

I recently was given the opportunity to review th
eir liquid laundry detergent and stain remover(prewash spray).  I must state that I was a bit hesitant at first due to the fact that I don't use liquid detergent.  I have found it just doesn't work as well with our well water.  Low and behold this stuff is excellent!  It got everything as clean or even CLEANER than the powder I had been using and didn't seem to bother any of my children or myself who have sensitive skin.

Doesn't Buzz look super clean and happy?!  Well let me tell you before he got washed with the prespray and liquid laundry detergent he definitely was not so clean or happy.  One of my two younger children(who has a love of markers) decided to color ALL over him with a red marker.  And by all over I do mean all over. I should have taken a picture but didn't unfortunately. He had a red face and red clothes.  It was like a red paint bomb had exploded on him.  I sprayed him down with the stain remover and put him in the wash.  Tada!  He came out all nice and squeaky clean.  My son was ecstatic to have a clean buzz back.

I highly recommend you try out Charlie's Soap for your laundry needs.  But don't stop there!  They also have household cleaning products, for kitchen and bath as well as outdoor and indoor cleaners.  I have heard people say that they use the laundry detergent mixed with water to clean their cars and lots of other things as well!

I must now say that because I loved their liquid laundry detergent I had to try out their powder detergent as well.  Like I said powder always seems to work better with our hard well water(they also make a booster to help out with that problem if you need it) so I wanted to give it a try!  I ordered some and had a go of it.  I am in love.  I may just have to switch totally over from our old laundry detergent!

Did you know Charlie's is safe to use on cloth diapers?  Yes you heard me right a detergent that you can not only use on your clothes but also on babies diapers too!  I love that!  No more having three or four different laundry detergents sitting around, now just have one that you can use on everything!  Use it for your delicates, your jeans, your sheets, and even babies dipes!

Aromatherapy Locket and Earrings Review by BlissDoTerra

I ran across a cute little shop on Etsy (her Etsy name is BlissAbsolute just so you know where to find her) and knew I was going to have to have one of her creations!  She makes and sells some super adorable aromatherapy lockets(and matching earrings).  She also sells DoTerra essential oils which work well inside of the locket.

The concept is so simple really.  You have a little patch, can be felt or a specially made insert, which you put oil onto and put it into the locket.  The oil then diffuses throughout the day and you get the benefits from breathing it in!  A favorite of mine when I have little children who tend to be fussy during church is to wear lavender in my necklace.  It helps to keep them a little less rambunctious!  If you have a headache lavender and peppermint work well.  If you're sick there are several oils that will help as well.  Head colds have been going along quite a bit lately and I've found that eucalyptus oil works well to help clear out your passages.

After much deliberation I chose to keep the white set for myself and giveaway the black set.  I loved them both though so it was a very hard decision.  I finally decided due to the fact that I have several darker colored necklaces and don't find myself wearing the lighter colors as much.

BlissDoTerra was created by Inna to share two of her passions with the world.  She loves essential oils and healthy living(something we have in common).  On her site you'll find information about essential oils, aromatherapy lockets, and also glass vial necklaces for essential oils.  She also shares her knowledge of organic wine, vitamix, and healthy living.

I of course was most interested in the aromatherapy necklaces.  You can find that page HERE, where she has a variety of necklaces to choose from. I had a hard time picking the one I liked best, which she then made harder by sending me the black AND the white ones!  She also carried a car diffuser in the necklace section. . . . .great idea for long car rides as long as you can withstand the lavender!

Added to the page of the aromatherapy necklaces is a brief history of them.  This is very informative and I didn't know so was great to learn new things!  She states that in the 20's ladies would carry cotton balls with their favorite perfume or fragrance on them in their necklaces so that they and their acquaintances could smell them.

One last little tidbit is that she is offering a Holiday sale on her lockets.  You can order between now and Christmas and get $2 off!  Great deal and great quality!

The Greater Good DVD Review

I recently was asked if I wanted to review a new movie called  The Greater Good.  I looked into the movie to see what it was about and knew that I needed to see it and let you know all about it.

First off, do you vaccinate your children?  What do you think about vaccines?  I challenge you to form an opinion and decide really where you stand before you watch this movie.  Are you for vaccines?  Have you vaccinated your children?  Why did you or did you not do so?

We have not vaccinated our children.  It's a personal choice.  My husband and I researched and spent a lot of time talking about vaccines when we were pregnant with our first.  We made the decision not to vaccinate.  I don't think this decision is for everyone, but for us it still feels like the right decision.  My children have never had a dreaded disease or been extremely sick.  Oh they've had some colds, a stomach bug or two and a case of strep throat, but I think we're doing good considering that we have 8 children ages 7 and under in our house and we stay healthy for the most part!

I do want to say that I don't judge people who do vaccinate.  This is a personal choice.  There is no right or wrong answer.  You and you alone have to choose what is best for your family and your children.

Yohay Fudge Review -Gluten Free

I recently go to try out a newly certified gluten free fudge set from Yohay.  They have a set of six fudges that have gone through the process to be certified gluten free.  And let me just say, they are very yummy!

I am in love!  I really am.  I have always loved fudge but hated taking all the time involved to make it.  And of course I never did get into making a lot of variety. Now I can get variety and gluten free at that!  Yohay fudge has a 6 pack sampler that have all been certified gluten free.  You get the apple pie, cherry vanilla, chocolate sea salt, coffee, maple walnut, and chocolate peanut butter swirl.

My absolute favorite is the chocolate peanut butter swirl.  I love chocolate and I love peanut butter!  This was to die for melt in your mouth goodness.  No I did NOT share!  Not at all.  My husband is not a peanut butter fan and I kept it hidden from the kiddos!

Next came the chocolate sea salt which was shared with the whole family.  We all loved it.  The kids approved of it and were sad when it was gone.

We all enjoyed the apple pie, maple walnut and cherry vanilla, though my husband did try to hide the cherry vanilla as he LOVES cherries.  The kids were too quick for him though and knew where he put it!  The maple walnut tastes like real maple syrup(you know the old fashioned kind that people used to use on pancakes) and is super yummy.  The apple pie, well it tastes like grandma's apple pie.  I think this was my children's favorite one by far.  They really did not want to share with the rest of us.

The last flavor was the coffee.  Due to it being coffee I wasn't sharing with the children.  I don't think they need a caffeine boost quite that much.  My husband does not like anything coffee flavored so he didn't want to try it either.  I, however, did not have a problem with coffee flavoring and loved it!  I shared with a few friends who came over for fellowship and they loved it as well.  They do not have to be gluten free but of course did not know the difference!

Mudshrimps Cloth Diaper Review

Recently we got to try out a cloth diaper cover or pocket diaper from Mudshrimps.  We used ours as a cover, but you can also use it as a pocket diaper.  I like using them as covers more because you can just change out the prefold or liner and not have to do as much laundry unless they soil the cover as well.

Mudshrimps diapers are made by a work at home mom who started in 2010.  These diapers have a great quality and craftsmanship.  We had no issues with leaks.  Fit was great.  I love that they have rise snaps so that you can use them with multiple size children.  Right now we only have the two in diapers(both 2 year olds) but this would easily fit a larger child or a smaller child.  I would say probably from around 10 pounds up to 35 pounds.

Zyera loves this cover.  If I let her pick this is the one she always chooses.  She gets upset if its already dirty and she can't wear it again.  I'd say these are definite kid pleasers!

Holiday Gift Guide!
