PB Crave Peanut Butter Review and Giveaway -The Pitch List

I recently got a great opportunity to review some great peanut butters from PB Crave.  We love peanut butter in our house and use it from a dip for apples and celery to putting it on crackers or eating a peanut butter sandwich.

These peanut butters are a little bit different than your ordinary peanut butter though.  They have yummy names and flavors.  That's right, they are flavored peanut butter.  I really hadn't ever tried flavored peanut butters before as I liked the regular variety and didn't want to add more high fructose corn syrup to our diet. We tend to avoid that stuff like the plague around here.

I do have to state that these peanut butters are gluten free.  They do not have high fructose corn syrup.  But, they do contain soy and milk.  So if you have an allergy to soy or milk you will not want to eat these.  I did have to do a make my own version on a few for my girls who can't have the soy or milk at all.  I did try them out and have to say they are very yummy but not something I can eat a lot of at once.

Here are the four flavors we received:

Razzle Dazzle-  A blend of your traditional natural peanut butter, raspberries, white chocolate, and honey.  Honey is your sweetener.  Oh and don't forget the dark chocolate as well.  I'm a big fan of dark chocolate and loved the taste of this one.  One of my favorite ice creams(non dairy) is made with raspberries and dark chocolate!  This blend was really good on a piece of bread or a cracker as you didn't need to add jam to it.  I also loved using it in my No Bake Cookie Recipe as it added a fruity flavor where there was none.

Choco Choco-  This is a blend of your natural peanut butter, honey, semi sweet, and dark chocolate.  I'm a dark chocolate lover and when I read Belgium dark chocolate I almost swooned!  If you've never had a good dark chocolate, you're missing out and Belgium is one of the best.  I will go to Europe someday just so I can gorge myself on the dark chocolate!  Americans just don't know good chocolate because most of ours are wax based(yuck).  Anyway this was a great little blend and I really liked it.  I would of course replace the semi sweet with more dark chocolate if I had a choice. . . .   I decided to try this out in a recipe as well and added 2 Tb of the peanut butter to the oil mixture in THIS RECIPE.  It ended up being a very creamy very non dry cookie.  This is an accomplishment when most cookies made with only one flour tend to be a bit on the dry side.

Chocolate chip cookie dough anyone?

Cookie Nookie-  Another blend based on all natural yummy peanut butter but with added honey, cookie dough flavor(note just the flavor not actual cookie dough so still gluten free) and chocolate chips.  This one was the kids favorite.  They absolutely loved it!  This would be the one they were making sure they got every last bit off their plates and wanting to just eat it by itself.  I used these to add just a bit more flavor to my favorite cookie which happens to be a Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip cookie.  I used the recipe(found here) but added 1/4 cup of this peanut butter to the wet ingredients mixing very well.  Oh it was so good and extra creamy flavor!

Coco Bananas- The last flavor we tried was the Coco Bananas.  Reasoning behind this. . . well I'm not a huge banana lover.  I really don't care for bananas or anything banana flavored.  This peanut butter is made with natural peanut butter with additions of banana flavor, chunks of chocolate, and honey.  The great surprise was it wasn't half bad.  I ate it on a slice of toast and really didn't mind the flavor.  We also added a spoonful of this to our morning smoothie.  This is a super easy recipe where you take a cup of yoghurt(plain), 2 cups of frozen fruit, 1 Tb of protein powder, and now 1 heaping Tb of this peanut butter.  Blend it all together well in your blender and wallah instant breakfast.  I'm afraid I didn't get a picture of this one as my kids really liked the smoothie and we drank it all before I remembered to get the camera!

Now the best part is that we can also offer up a giveaway.  5 lucky winners will receive a 4 pack of the flavors mentioned above!!  All you have to do is enter on the rafflecopter below.
