SMM Cosmetics- BB Creme Review

I recently got to try a gluten free creme that I am now in love with.  It is basically a moisturizer/primer all in one!  I can't get enough of it!  This is gluten free/cruelty free/Made in the USA/no animal testing!

For some reason this pic is loading wrong, I'll fix later, but want to get this review up first!!

BB Creme Souffle by SMM Cosmetics is the product I got to try.  It comes in three tints.  One is the one I got which is no tint for very light skinned people(I'm VERY light skinned).  The other two are fair/light and medium/tan.

Creamy does not even begin to describe this stuff!  This feels gorgeous going on and keeps your skin all an even color and moisturized.   I have trouble with the skin on my nose being flaky sometimes and this took that away.   My skin looked radiant and felt so good.  It was not dry at all.  I love this stuff!  I honestly don't know what I was doing before this.  I'm never switching back!

Here is what SMM Cosmetics says about their creme on their site:  A miracle for your complexion that moisturizes, heals, primes, perfects, protects in a single step. With continued use, SMMCosmetics' Exotic Butter Souffle' improves skin hydration and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles after only four weeks of use. Contains Zinc Oxide for sun protection and healing skin irritations(the no tint does not contain zinc oxide). This creme is thick and rich, but the application is smooth and light. It soaks right in (no greasiness!) leaving your skin perfectly soft with only a hint of color. Can be used on your body too!!

Make sure to come back and watch for the giveaway which will go live on July 4th as part of the Made in America giveaway!  SMM Cosmetics has graciously agreed to sponsor this giveaway with their 8 piece gluten free mineral makeup kit!!

Dippee Dypees Diaper Review

I was super excited when Dippee Dypees Diapers agreed to let me do a review of their diapers.  They have such absolutely cute diapers.  And they are so soft!  I love the velour!  And the most wonderful thing is that they don't cause rashes on my littlest!  See the below pictures for the cute squish we got to try!
ooga booga print, no snaps so I used diaper pins though you can easily use snappis

trifold soaker plus small soaker

This is the trifold which can also be used as a diaper in and of itself when baby is little!
I love multipurpose if you haven't realized this yet!

This fabric is so soft.  When we first got it I just wanted to snuggle up with it.  Fionna of course snatched the diaper, looks at it, and proclaims it "baby".  Baby is her new word that means it's hers!  I guess she figures because she is the baby that if she says it's the babies we should understand that means mine!  This girl is just too stinking cute!

I did not use a cover over our diaper.  I simply let the Fionna wear it until it started to feel damp.  We were at home however, so if you're going out and about you might want to cover up.  I just can't bear to cover up those cute little monsters.  Kind of fitting for my littlest monster to be wearing monsters!

Dippee Dypees has agreed to giveaway a fitted diaper to one lucky winner during the Made in America Giveaway which will be starting on July 4th so stay tuned and watch for it to go live!  You can find more about these great diapers by visiting the sites below!

I was just informed that there is going to be a big Etsy stocking on July 20th so better start stalking them!!

Instant Chalkboard Review

I was recently given the chance to review Instant Chalkboard!  I love this stuff!  I am so glad I got these to try.  I have three of them stuck in my kitchen now.  See pictures below to see what I've done with them.

Mommy and Daddy list of things to do!

This one just got put up today and is going to be the kids chore chart

and of course everyone needs a grocery list
I am loving these!  Now I wish I had gotten the bigger size to put on the wall in the schoolroom so I'd have a chalkboard!  Great invention!  I'm lucky that I got to review these!  Keep watching for  a chance to win some of your own!

Baby Mantra Shampoo and Body Wash Review

I was given an opportunity to review a bottle of Baby Mantra Shampoo and Body Wash recently.

Cerified natural they are also free of:  fragrance, toxin, chemical, dye, gluten, and cruelty free, as well as being made with all natural organic ingredients and recyclable.  Not tested on animals and no animal ingredients.

cute little bottle!
This is a low foaming formula so don't expect tons of bubbles.  It does the job though and gets all the dirt off!  My littles love to play in dirt and water(making mud) and covering themselves in the said mud.  We gave this stuff a hard task to do and it did it!  And most importantly, it did not cause my youngest to break out.  She is allergic to several things and it is hard to find a body wash/shampoo that she can use!

This has a pleasant aroma of lavender(has some essential oil in it) and is creamy smooth due to the coconut oil I think.  I give this a thumbs up and recommend it. You can learn more about Baby Mantra by using the links below!

#BlogChallenge Day 25

Going Green with the Grizls
Ideal day of me time.

Me time is not something that I get very often.  My me time is also normally the grocery shopping time.  I think for me the ideal me time would be to curl up with a cup of coffeehouse coffee and a good book.  I love to read but I find that I never get uninterrupted reading time in this house.  The kids seem to have radar that if mommy is relaxing and enjoying a quiet moment they are going to come with something needing done or needing help with something.  Or more probably they will come crying to me because somebody else wouldn't let them have the toy they wanted. . . . .

#BlogChallenge Day 24

Going Green with the Grizls

Favorite eco-friendly thing to do.

I do several ecofriendly things.  I love cloth diapering!  I mean who doesn't like all those super cute little squishy bums!

I also love cloth menstrual pads.  Yep cloth mama pads.  They are actually really comfortable, very absorbent, don't cause me to break out, and they also come in cute patterns!

We dont' buy bottled water.  We have a bottle per adult and per child and if we're going somewhere where we'll want a drink we each take our own bottle.  I also try not to use ziplock bags but prefer glass jars, or stainless steel containers.

What about you?  What things do you like to do?

#BlogChallenge Day 22

Going Green with the Grizls

When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was little I wanted to be a physical therapist.  From the time I was old enough to know what I was talking about until my senior year in high school actually. I only changed my major so that I could attend a closer college since I was getting married and we didn't want to live in the city.  My sophomore year in high school I had been accepted to the Physical Therapy program at a private college.  I ended up getting a RN, BSN(nursing bachelor's degree).

Noxicare Natural Pain Relief Gel Review

Do you have chronic pain?  Do you use muscle rubs?  If you said yes to either of those you should try out this pain relief gel.  I received this to review and think it's great.   I often get back pain and aches.  I rubbed this stuff on and waited to see what would happen.

First, let me tell you that Noxicare Natural Pain Relief is not greasy at all, no mess involved.  Second, it has a pleasant smell, not your normal old grandparent type smell.  Third, it gives you a nice tingling sensation as it works!  I give it a big thumbs up!  Worked like a dream for me.  I also used it on my husbands shoulders one day when I was massaging them and he really liked how it helped to relax and ease his tensed up muscles.

I received a t shirt and bottle of the pain relief gel for my review.

Noxicare™ Natural Pain Relief is a breakthrough natural, patented pain relief formula that is a proprietary combination of 7 of the world’s most potent natural pain relievers that quickly and effectively alleviate inflammation, muscle aches and nerve pain—with NO known side effects and without a prescription.

Sweet Potato Veggie Bake

So, I had some sweet potatoes that were about to go bad the other day and was thinking of how to use them up.  I decided I wanted to do a sweet potato bake that would taste like a bit of a fry.  So, I got inventive.  I found some onions and green peppers that needed used as well as the sweet potatoes and ingenuity struck.

I cut up several large sweet potatoes, two green peppers, and an onion. I then placed it all in a 13 by 9 baking dish.  Over the top I cut up one stick of butter placing it randomly around.  I then baked for an hour.  Oh my goodness!  The flavors were yum and crisp with the butter.  Just like fried but better!

I had a few helpers as you'll see from the pictures!  Let me know if you try it and if you do anything differently than me!

Colin and Patrick helping to remove the eyes

Love the face!  They thought this was great fun!

Prior to cooking!  I didn't get a picture when it was done as we ate it all before I thought about it!

Juppy Baby Walker Review

I recently was given an opportunity to review the Juppy Baby Walker.  We got the blue one and chose to forego the personalization since I like to keep things gender neutral and in a way that more than one little can use them.

Here are a few pictures of the one we received.  It's super cute and folds up nice and small to take with you.

information panel

carrying bag and the walker
I did use this on Zyera as she tends to still get her head ahead of her feet and topple over.  This was so much nicer on my back!  I did not have to bend down to hold her hands!  I could just hold the straps, she also held them, and we'd walk on.  If she tripped or went to fall I was holding on and she'd just have to take a moment to get her feet back under her.  No falling, no bruising.  Yeap definitely a good thing!

Like what you're seeing?  Want to give them a try?  Well you're in luck!  Juppy Baby Walkers has agreed to give one of my lucky fans a Juppy of their choice of color and personalization for free!  Make sure to check back tonight and enter to win in the giveaway!

    Corset Chicks Review

Recently I got the chance to review a gorgeous corset from Corset Chicks.  I chose the blue sweetheart corset with a steel busk.  See pictures below.

    Pretty corset

Laced up with two pretty ribbons

Closer of the steel busk fastenings.

Corset chicks makes lots of corset designs including steel boned, corset dresses, costume corsets, plus size corsets, and corset tops that can be worn over clothing.  I have enjoyed working with them and reviewing this very nice corset.  The corset arrived quickly and was what I expected from the website.

You do need to take care when ordering your size as they will tell you that their corsets run small.  I reviewed a size small as that's what my measurements equaled out to and it did fit.  It was a bit snug on the waist, but I was able to fasten it and it did fit.

Make sure to keep checking back as I will be offering a giveaway for a corset of your choosing from Corset Chicks starting on July 15th!  You will get to choose a corset valued at up to $30.

You can check out Corset Chicks on their website and facebook pages.  I was provided with this corset from Corset Chicks in exchange for the review.  However, all opinions are my own.  This is part of a group review and giveaway from The Pitch List.

    Reusit Reusable Lunch Boxes Review

I recently got the opportunity to review one of a list of reusable lunch boxes from Reusit.  I chose to review the Large Natural Cotton Lunchbag pictured below.  I am in love with this bag.  The handle holds well.  It velcros at the top.  Now it won't keep things cold as it's not insulated, but it makes a great go to bag for putting snacks for the littles in for trips or car rides.

The little girls love to add their snack containers to the bag and then they swing it back and forth to each other in the van.  Of course, my piggy Zyera likes to take all the snacks out before giving it back to Fionna which makes Fionna mad!

    The lunchbag I received

In use(ok so I put a cloth diaper in it at Fionna's insistence, but you get the picture)
This is an awesome way to save money on those plastic sacks for treats and it's cute!  Stay tuned for a giveaway coming up featuring Reusit Lunch boxes!

Grandma's Pure and Natural Soap Review!

I recently got the chance to review three great products from Grandma's Pure and Natural Soaps.  I got to use the Poison Ivy and Oak Bar, Don't Bug me Bar, and Lye Soap Bar.

Jewelweed grows wild in close proximity to poison ivy throughout much of the United States. For centuries native American peoples have used Jewelweed (Impatiens Capensis) as a natural preventative and treatment for the itch and rashes of poison ivy, oak and sumac. GRANDMA'S now brings this powerful natural remedy to you! Relieves the itch of poison almost immediately and heals the rash in 3-4 days!

I did not personally use this as I don't get poison ivy, but my husband does get it and he did get to use the soap. He's been building fence and getting into all kinds of things, poison ivy among them.  He used the soap and said that it did relieve the itching very quickly which is normally the worst problem for him.  It will itch and he'll scratch spreading it around.  With this soap it stayed contained, didn't itch, didn't spread, and cleared up quickly.

GRANDMA'S Don't Bug Me Bar is a natural solution to an annoying little critter - the mosquito! Using a special formula of essential oils GRANDMA'S Don't Bug Me Bar repels mosquitoes effectively without the use of DEET or other chemicals. Pleasant smell. Won't stain clothing.

All three of these soaps worked really well.  I loved the Don't Bug Me Bar.  It smelled good and kept the bugs off.  It doesn't say that it works on ticks and chiggers, but I found that it does!  Happy camper here.  We live on a farm and have massive amounts of ticks right now due to it not really getting cold enough to kill them back over the winter.  I found that using the soap ont he kids arms and legs worked well.  I was a little worried that they might still get bitten on the face, but the smell coming off their shoulders seemed to deter those peskies!

You can find Grandma's Soaps on their website as well as on facebook.

    Costume Madness Costume Review

    imagesblank1

I recently was given the great opportunity to review a costume through Costume Discounters, or rather I should say my son was!  Yeap we got a costume for our littlest boy who will be turning 4 on July 1st.  We got the Cowboy Sheriff one and he couldn't have been happier!  The jacket/duster does not have fastenings so it easily will fit several children.  He loved the hat!  I ordered his costume big so that older brothers could wear too and it would fit for a while.  I also ordered big because he has a big head.  The vest is super cute and has velcro closings.  The only problem we had was with the star falling off after pinned.  I think this had something to do with my children being overly rambunctious. . . .

All in all we loved it and I'm sure we'll be wanting to try more in the future as the other kids are already telling me what costumes that they would like to have!!

Enjoy our pictures below and don't forget to check back on July 9th to enter for your chance at winning a costume.  Several other blogs are also offering a giveaway with this company at the same time so there will be a linky for you to enter us all!!!

Get a head start by liking on facebook and following on twitter!
